1. Do you accept insurance?

No, we are a cash-based practice. However, we can provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance as an out-of-network provider. Please check with your insurance company about possible reimbursement.

2. Why do you not accept insurance?

We don’t accept insurance to offer you more personalized care. With this approach, we offer 60-90 minutes of one-on-one, hands-on treatment, allowing us to fully focus on your individual needs without the limitations or restrictions of insurance companies. This approach lets us create a customized care plan that works best for you, offering a higher level of attention and flexibility than many insurance-based providers.

3. Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to start pelvic floor therapy. However, if your insurance company requires a referral for potential reimbursement, please check with them beforehand.

4. What should I expect during my first session?

Your first session will include a thorough evaluation of your medical history, current symptoms, and pelvic health. We will also assess your posture, core strength, and pelvic floor function to develop a personalized treatment plan.

5. What should I wear to my sessions?

It is recommended to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely. You may be asked to complete light exercises during your sessions

6. Do I have to receive an internal exam?

An internal exam is not required and is only performed if you are comfortable with it. The therapist will discuss your options and let you choose the exam and treatments you want

7. I'm on my period can I still come to my appointment?

Yes! Menses will not affect the exam or treatment. However, if it makes you feel more comfortable to wait until your menstrual cycle is complete, please do that. We want you to feel 100% comfortable with your experience.

8. Can pelvic floor therapy help during pregnancy or postpartum?

Absolutely! Pelvic floor therapy is highly beneficial during pregnancy to prevent or manage issues like incontinence and pelvic pain, as well as postpartum recovery to strengthen the core and pelvic floor muscles. It's an excellent way to prepare your body for birth and recover afterward.
